The Cutoff Clause
Last updated: 23 September 2026
The usage numbers are the part of this toolkit that rests on something we do not control. This page says so before you pay. It is part of the Terms.
Where the usage numbers come from. Clausage and Clauswitch read your Claude usage from an endpoint Anthropic has not published, using the token Claude Code already stores on your machine. It is not a documented API and Anthropic never promised to keep it. It can change or stop at any time, without warning and without anything being wrong on your end.
What keeps working if it stops. The numbers go stale and then disappear, and the apps say so. These keep working, because none of them use that endpoint:
- Switching Claude accounts. Clauswitch’s core runs on
CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR, a documented Claude Code mechanism. It is unaffected. - The history you already collected. It lives on your Mac and keeps rendering, including the charts drawn from it.
- Your plan label. It is read from the credentials on your machine, never from the network.
- Your license. It is checked against our server, never Anthropic’s, so it is untouched by any of this. If Schizm itself ever shuts down, the wind-down promise in the Terms applies: every active license is converted to fully offline, permanently.
What stops. Live percentages and the menu-bar label, projections and forecasts, usage-credit amounts, and every alert derived from them.
What you can do about it. If the usage feature stops working within 30 days of your purchase, the refund policy applies.
What we will not do. We will not remove features you paid for.
